Should You Pay attention to Meditation Music When You Meditate
You can find the faculties of meditation that say you should not meditate to music, that you ought to only meditate without moaning.

    Meditation Music

But what if there was clearly music that actually deepened your meditation? That merely by hearing the music activity, you were in a position to experience far deeper states of meditation than you would without listening to the music.

So first we need to consider the thing that makes good meditation music.

Any meditation music and then there can be a drum beat needs to be trashed. Because any drum beats or rhythms could keep your heartrate high and this keeps you against getting into ab muscles deep states of relaxation where true meditation occurs.

One other thing consider is the thing that you are actually hearing. If you're listening to music which is purely synthesized, meaning your sounds you hear are made from electronically produced sound waves, then such music can present you with a headache rather than be conducive to meditation.

Another thing to consider is the meditation state with the musician making the music activity. When the musician has attained a higher state of meditation, then their meditative state will probably be recorded in the music that you simply hear.

    Hymns

There are numerous "brain entrainment" audio programs on the market. They're CDs using what are classified as "binaural beats." Binaural beats are two separate electronically produced sine waves, one played in the left channel then one took part in the proper channel. These two sine wave drones are slightly different in frequency.

    Relaxing Music

The thought behind binaural beats is that they manipulate your brainwaves into slowing, thus creating a "meditative state."

Although such programs may do something, my experience is that they really are a hindrance to experiencing true states of meditation, not helpful. And they are generally as electronic as you can get.

You would be far better off hearing a chant or even a talk either on DVD or Audio CD of your enlightened teacher. By listening to their voice, their very own state of enlightenment gets transmitted to you personally through sound. Although it might not be very musical anyway, meditating for this would deepen your meditation considerably.

But there is meditation music in the marketplace that does induce states of meditation naturally, without electronic sounds and without manipulating your brainwaves. Through special recording equipment, high states of meditation are already recorded and changed into sound. And so once you tune in to the music activity, that same deep blissful state of meditation gets naturally awakened in you.
